MORE THAN A GAME
Basketball is the starting point.
Everyday skills are intentionally built into practice. Participants have opportunities to learn the game while practicing communication, routines and independence.
Build basketball skills
Practice dribbling, passing, shooting, movement and coordination.
Communicate needs
Ask for help, request a turn or break, and make choices.
Practice independence
Follow routines, take water breaks and care for equipment.
Connect with others
Share space, take turns and encourage others without pressure to win.
A THOUGHTFUL FIRST STEP
We start by getting to know your child.
The required initial consultation / participation assessment explores interests, communication preferences and support needs. It informs a participation plan, adaptations and a recommended level of support.
SUPPORT & SESSION RATES
$175–$225 per session
Pricing is based on the level of support your child needs to participate.
The $225 rate includes a 1:1 coach or dedicated safety person.
Group capacity: 15 participants. Baseline participant-to-staff ratio: 5:1. Family-provided caregivers, OTs or BTs may attend when needed; coordinate roles with OMG.
Nonmedical, nontherapeutic recreation and instruction. Outside clinical services remain the outside provider’s responsibility.
RC & SDP FUNDING
The consultation may be funded, too.
The $250 consultation and ongoing sessions may be funded through Regional Center or Self-Determination Program arrangements. Individual approval is required. Confirm authorization and payment arrangements before services begin.
